The Cecilian Seal

 
 

HARP - it is the symbol of music. St. Cecilia is honored as a patroness of music and musicians. She wanted every member of the Cecilian family to echo in their lives the language of charity that would serve as a vibrant music to the poor.

DOVE -    it is the symbol of the Holy Spirit that descended upon Jesus at His baptism. Just as Jesus was an obedient child to His parents and to the will of the Father, He truly wants every Cecilian to be docile and obedient to the human and divine authorities.

BREAD AND CUP - Christ is the heart of the school. He freely gives himself as body and blood through the Eucharist, as it is the foundation of life, love and freedom, so He may also give Himself to others.

BOOK -    it symbolizes the Bible in which true wisdom emanates. It is the most important book that a Cecilian should know, learn and live.

BRANCH WITH SEVEN LEAVES - a branch and its leaves depend on the vine. Cecilians, as one family is a branch dependent upon Christ - the vine. The seven leaves represent excellent holistic formation, referring to the school’s commitment towards spiritual, social, moral, intellectual, emotional, physical and cultural development of its members.
